Anzac Education Programs for Primary & High Schools

Developed in 2015 in conjunction with the Anac centenary, Anzac Educatio programs promote a greater understanding and recognition of our Anzac legacy amongst school students and meet a number of the NSW History K-10 Syllabus outcomes.

The Anzac Education program includes six 30-minute modules, which all have a focus on analysing and interpreting primary and secondary sources. Many of the sources used are exclusive to the Hurstville City Library Museum & Gallery collection, giving students access to photographs, letters, oral histories and objects unobtainable elsewhere. Select modules include object handling, personnel profiling, oral history interviews and research techniques.

In addition, schools may book in for a 90-minute oral history workshop with a local returned service member or relative.

*Anzac Education programs are free of charge for the first 10 schools who book in. Subsequent bookings will be charged at the rate of $5.00 per student, per session (minimum charge $50.00 per session).
